sick + new hair style

Hi !! I went back to KL last weekend and came back !! Tata !! Here's my new hair style but unfortunately you cannot see my handsome face yet coz I fall ill...

Lots of things to share... Last Monday when I took bus from KL to Singapore actually it was too late when I reached here... Luckily (One of the luckiest things that happened these few days... instead of something bad else...) I took the last bus of the day and last MRT train of the day before finally got to my hostel. Woof... I even heard the annoucement saying, "This is the last train for today. There will be no more train in service. Thank you for ..." My eyes were so big ... hahahaha .. I made it !! Haha...

Share some collagez that I did when I discover a nice tool to make them. These are photos from my last backpacking trip to Perlis, Kedah and Penang. Nice trip. Next destination - Sabah this July but befire that I need to get my lazy brain to work out for my exam and quizzes and tests coming up very very very soon.

What's wrong with the title?? why is something missing there?? haha ... i received an sms from WJ few days ago with all the *A* missing in a message .. it was nice .. because all the disappeared As are going to appear in our report cards!!! yeah!! that's true!!! haha ... haihzzz ... 12days n counting down.. to the day i come back to KL .. c u all ... now struggling with Physics .. who asked me to go for engineering ?? what the hell .. haha ... didn't prepare really well ... tis time exam SUI SUI lo ... haha ..

i had my English Proficiency last Wednesday .. my first paper .. hmm.. not very difficult .. can say it's a test to raise my confident gua?? let me get used to the style of examination system in NTU .. first time got into the exam

hall .. it was in the indoor basketball court ... and it was so big and cold ... walao ... i could feel the differences between university exams and the exams that we used to have .. you turn your head around and you could hardly find someone you know ... haih ...

Then last Friday was Maths paper .. tell you this was the second most freaking paper i felt .. why? Honestly i was good in Maths (tak malu but it's true.. lol) and so i was too tense and afraid that i would not score well and fail it .. really ... omg ...

then without too much realised the time i spent in libraries .. and it's the second i was going to sit my Maths paper in Auditorium ... since this is a compulsory subjects for ALL engineering students hence this was one of the HUGE n BIGGEST crowd examination subjects ... haha ... i think the seats got around 600-800 ... if not mistaken ... all within the foyer of the auditorium ...

anyway it didn't help much ... i was too panic that i could realise my panic was too overwhelmed when i tried to take out my matric card for examination ... i saw my hands shaking ... omg it was not a good sign ... i started off the exam with panic and tension but it got more relax in the midway of exam ... afterall .. haih ... i think i am OK ... the score may not be nice since i still do not know the grading system for my U but anyway .. it had passed at least ... ... woof ... oh ya .. tell you what... i made a very stupid mistake tat this was the second time i made in my life ... but this time was ok coz the mistake won't be affecting my score like LAST TIME (u wan to know what's last time?? nah.. i won't tell you now) ... the Maths exam started on 2.30pm... and all the way i was doing so fast that i was so afraid that i couldn't finish all the questions .. so fast fast n fast ... and at the last questions .. (after skipping a few) i saw the clock shown 4.24pm ... omg ... i said to myself... i got only 6 minutes to do the checkings .. so i quickly flipped through the pages ... ... and redo those questions that i couldn't finish ... ... then the minute hand of the clock touched the number '6' ... i looked around ... no movement ... i was like "e? issit the exam being extended?? issit the professor knew it was too hard?? (it wasn't too hard actually.. juz tat i din read enough)" .. so without hesitate i flipped back to first page ... ... DURATION : 2 1/2 Hours ... WHAT?! ... haha ... and so i got extra half an hour to check the answers ... so WU LONG ... maybe too panic gua ... actually i knew it's 2 and half hour but it happened that i forgot about it ... anyway i think u hav no interest to see my Maths questions ... so let's move on ...

ok.. so my next paper will be life science and physics .. honestly the MOST FREAKING paper goes to PHYSICS ... haha .. sounds crazy right?? anyway i will try my best ... and face the truth .. then next sem gambatte again!!! tonite .. juz now had a wonderful dinner ... guess what?? me n my friends ordered pizzas!!! wow ... haha .. first time eat pizzas in Singapore .. hehe ... it's Canadian Pizzas .. buy one free one ... so we tried lo ...

sorry hehehe .. after finish eating then only realise need to take some photos .. haha ... the pizzas finish liao so take some model shoots lo ... haha ...

total was SGD 42 for 7 people (one person around 2 1/2 BIG slices.. plus one CHEESE ball.. free one Pepsi) ok ok lo.. juz not tat nice compared to Pizza Hut (but i dunno how's PH taste in SG) ... CHEAP MA .. what to expect?? hahaha ... experience more important ... hahaha ...

so relax ?? yea lo ... dunno arh ... kinda feel a bit giving up ... hahahaha ... no la ... fight until die die also must score oh ... ... it's ok to score no A then not to try the best right ?? if all the people here so geng until i gave my best also cannot get A then i will accept my fate .. hahaha ... in the end .. it doesn't even matter ... so .. i end my post with tis ..

嗨！！！谢谢各位之前的意见。。。最后结果败了一家 PANASONIC LUMIX FZ7 回来。。。刚刚才开箱！！（没有啦,刚才CHECK时已经开了）。。。之前答应了各位前辈要开箱贴。。。所以现在来报道咯！！！

先来说说购买的过程。。。

我本身在南洋理工大学读书，看到朋友们blog的时候都有照片所以很不爽。。哈哈。。。。。。当然不只是这个原因，因为之前玩过power series... g series... 想学多一点。。。刚刚好有多那么一点点的钱。。。所以下定决心要买了。。。

买之前想太多了。。。 research到可以交上给教授当research paper了。。哈哈。。。当然还有问一问“家里”的老招牌。。。。。。谢谢他们的意见。。。虽然我不听话最后还是选择了prosumer。。。。。。因为看在金钱和家人也可以用到得分上。。。所以有了这么的一个决定。。。

ok ... 废话就少点。。。昨天约了朋友在5点出发。。。因为JB有点点黑暗。。所以叫多一点人陪是好事。。。他们也可以趁机会回到马来西亚吃餐好的。。。哈哈哈。。。你明白啦。。。不用多说的啦。。。哈哈。。新加坡的东西有点。。。。。。:shakehead3: 。。。去JB是因为CITY SQUARE有DIGITAL CAMERA FAIR所以去看看咯。。。

途中看到不少人性丑恶的一面。。。抢上巴士，插位样样有。。。发觉我们一班斯文的不够抢。。。所以搭TAXI到CHECKPOINT... ... 咳。。。。。。真的是辛苦。。。去到JB都差不多6。30PM了。。吃了东西就正式开始打猎。。

结果碰了一鼻子灰。。。我先到CANON BOOTH的。。。 S3IS RM1,899根本没有便宜啦！！！！ MEMORY CARD 还是 512 而已。。。感觉上那个“可爱”的SALESGIRL一点礼貌都没有。。。问什么都还像没有心回答。。。什么都不懂。。。问有没有的扣竟然叫我跟老板说。。。反正都1，899... 扣都不会扣到去那里。。。所以离开CANON。。。

到了SONY BOOTH前。。更失望。。玻璃橱根本摆出来都没有用。。都没有什么MODEL可以SHOW... 只是那几架T,W SERIES 还有一些 VIDEOCAM .. 看不到我要的 H SERIES ... 所以还是算了吧。。。

失望到最后终于柳暗花明又一村。。。

Today I watched my second movie in Singapore. The movie titled "CLICK". I know this is a comedy bt honestly you guys must go n have a watch. The moral of the story is so strong that I called my parents straight away after I finished the whole movie. Family comes first ... touching theme... at least it's not something that you would laugh an forget everything about it the next morning.

I can imagine the moment when u woke up the time has already fast-forwarded and everything has changed. You missed a lot of quality time... ... You do not know what has happened and how's the thing changed. Sad ... ...

Here in SG, I truly feel the same thing. Things change in KL while I know nothing and stuck at this place. Sad ... ... ...

over-stressed volume

this is OVER-STRESSED issue!!! huawahauawhuawuhawuhawuhawolhakla *screaming ono-stop

just finish my formal report last Thursday, I could have submit it earlier but due to my little perfectionism in my mind, i seemed to hold it and do it for a very long time. GODAMNIT!!! Somehow I am proud of it... (started to be mad and insane) ... gosh... i really need to find some cure towards my attitude.. i tried to calm myself that nothing can be perfect in this world ... hence i am not that serious YET ...

I still got 2 papers, one Management research paper (300-500 words)and one proposal for Chinese Library Tour. This is a bit insane. I couldn't believe it. Haha, by the time I finish all this i would think that this is the most intense moment of my life. Can't imagine the work-load I had taken (and don't forget academic as well!!!) or maybe by that time I am died of overload...

only until last Wednesday I got to know how serious my problem is ... there's a lecturer from NUS giving a lecture on STRESS MANAGEMENT and it was really good!!!! Really thank to him that now I knew I am over-stressed ... From his GHQ12 (question testing stress thershold) ... i scored 5 out of 12. It seemed low right? But somehow more than 3 is considered OVER-STRESSED!!!! Gosh!!! Then I was also diagnosed as Type A Behaviour pattern ... you type this on yahoo and most probably you will find this is a very high risk of getting heart disease... ... sweating a lot...

So over this week, though I was busy and worried for EVERYTHING besides my academic... I tried to give myself excuse to rest more... things getting slower but I felt better, though a little bit still worry for the work left-over... ... perhaps I'm not done yet with coping with university life... but I am sure I am gwtting the best out from it...

by the way .. why issit the BIG PRESSURE?? I aimed for First Class.. though it seemed not very possible now... i will still work hard for it!! Com'on !!! Everything is possible!!! I'm currently working on PLAN B as well ... ... will keep you all updated ...

gosh .. what am i doing here ??? wasting time telling other people that I wasted time here??? (coz very few comments here... ... this post was inspired by the last comment made by my AIESEC LCP.. really thanx)

Sunday (17th) - sleepless for my Physics Continual Assessment (CA), honestlty this was the most UNconfident subject ever, since I was a Biology student in my pre-tertiary level ... so basically other than the straight motion, for all those ANGULAR and whatever CIRCULAR ... what the hell is that!?!?!?? motion motion lah .. why move in circle so troublesome ... ... so with the heavy head (a little bit dizzy since i din really sleep on Saturday) i went for it .. before having the CA i attended 3 tutorials some more ... haha ... geng leh ... so by the time i got my questions .. WTF ... 10 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes and it's open book test (i knew it lah... but need to read also mah.. or else u don't know where to refer) ... luckily it's applying and understanding concept ... ... and not much on angular ... (i don't know how i manage to answer it..haha i juz found any formula and just put it in... wth...)

Sleeping Hours : O H (til Monday morning)

Monday (18th) - my parents came down to Singapore ... to sign the Tuition Grant tomorrow (Tuesday) and so after my Physics CA I went to meet them. So good to see them. So after chores in my room (of course going back by my father's car!!! no more walking please!!) i went to their hotel (Nanyang Executive centre which is in my campus) ... wow .. it's so cool ... then i was like wandering around ... and went back to my room at 10pm ... i din sleep ... i played THE MOVIE (the game where you are the producer for the studio and try to run everything for the studio.. kinda fun so far... i'm No. 1 studio in town!!) and only i realised it was 2.30am ... din really sleep well ... oh ya i din mention that i skipped one evening class to stay with my parents .. haha ...

Sleeping Hours : 5 H (til Tuesday morning)

Tuesday (19th) - after one morning class i went down to meet my parents and went to sign the grant ... becoz i'm a smart guy and hence i chose the correct time ... the queue was no more than 5 minutes ... so fast .. and off to go ... so that afternoon and evening spent with my parents .. we went to Jurong Point and din really go downtown (the CITY) becoz they are going to bring my sister and brother here in the end of the year and wanna keep for that ... so wow!! and after they left only i realised (AGAIN!) that I got a MANAGEMENT CA on Wednesday (ok lah.. i know i got lah but just neglected it.. okay? satisfy with this answer?!?! lol) ... what to do ? well, it's always good to have a NESCAFE at night ... good ... at 6.30am i even went out to cook the TOMYAM mee my parents bought for me (they actually bought one box but they left half in KL, don't wan to scare me and spoil me i guess ...haha) study study night .. another sleepless night

Wednesday (20th) - restless ... my eyes so heavy that i could sleep by the moment i shut my eyes... GENG leh ... until that level ... from 0830-1530 were classes (2 hours rest in between) ... and classes ... the CA was on 1630H ... ... it was fun ... MANAGEMENT ... test on theories and common sense ... yeah ... i guess i did it quite ok ... then we had a short FORUM with some guys from various sectors ... (sorry but I really must make some comment here: WHAT THE HECK... MANY STUDENTS LEFT THE MOMENT THE QUIZ FINISH SINCE IT IS NOT COMPULSORY TO ATTEND THE FORUM BUT ACTUALLY IT WAS!!! SINCE IT WAS ONE OF THE LECTURE ACTIVITIES... FROM FULL LECTURE HALL WHILE TAKING THE QUIZ DOWN TO 30% OR LESS... WHAT KIND OF STUDENTS ARE THEY?? ARE THEY LEARNING?? OR SIMPLY JUST STUDYING FOR THE TEST?!? WHAT THE WORLD BECOMING TO?? SOMETIMES I REALLY FOUND THAT THE STUDENTS HERE HAVE NO QUALITY.. I DIDN'T SAY I GOT QUALITY BUT AT LEAST SHOW SOME RESPECT TO THE LECTURER... ANYWAY I DON'T WANT TALK MUCH HERE I WOULD COMMENT IN AN INDEPENDENT POST LATER...)

got a very touching management speaker from Salvation Army ... it is a Christian organisation but their main objective is to lead the youngster back to their normal life. I was very emotional the time I heard him sharing his stories ... and why him ??? Why I remember about him?? haha .. His name is HARY HARAN ... hahaha ... ... familiar ? (by the way to new readers/friends, i got a friend which was used to be my debate teamate, his name is HARIHARAN) haha ... but it was very meaningful talk ... ... a very good style of management ... regardless of the money ... really ... touching and thought-provoking ...

Tomorrow got Biology CA ... so how ?? i tell you about my plan ... I plan to sleep at 10pm (the time i got back to my hostel) and asked my roomate to wake me up at 2am so that i can study ... well... he did wake me up ... but by the time i really watching the clock it was 9am ... WTF??!? Yeah ... he did wake me up at 2am ... i went back sleeping again... ... hahaha .... so basically i din revise much for my Biology and the whole day was to hentam and hentam ...

Sleeping Hours : 5 + (11) = 16 H (spoiled my record... i expect less than this)

Thursday (21st) - So I went for my last Maths Class (very noise which is what i wanted to talk about in my next post) and took my Life Science CA ... ... i got 27 out of 35 ... ... well i din really expect since i din really study but ya know lah ... i was very greedy one mah ... ... so not really satisfied .. if i din sleep maybe ... ... so basically until now i was doing other stuff and calling people from my block to go watch movie marathon held by Junior College Recreational Councel .. (JCRC) i dunno whether i spelled it correctly but who cares ... juz tat i am the block rep so i need to do the stuff but it was very funny and good .. imagine you met someone you know very well and she is just living above you ... hahaha ... and got the chance to see every faces ... ... got leng lui leh ... from China.. Malaysia also got ... ... hahaha ... got chance i show you all !! so i INTENDed not to sleep lah today .. since I'm gong back to Malaysia tomorrow 5.30pm ... well too long right ?? i better stop ...

I have no intention to help advertise that movie Dead or Alive. Just that I saw this tagline kinda suits what I wanna to talk about so I quoted from it.

Now I'm between Dead or Alive. I'm still planning for my future. Why ? OK ... Let me tell you the whole story. Before this I have already set my goal whish is to study hard to earn my first class. After the first Continual Assessment, I felt depressed. I got 2 points lower than average. It is just 2 points lower, what's the big deal ? You might say .. Sorry I cannot accept that deal. It's unimaginable.

Now I'm figuring out that perhaps I got no place to shine. That's why I'm still unable to outperform and give my best. My brain still unable to start operating normally. I got 2 choices.

1. Concentrate on studies 100% but not sure I'm going to score. Maybe I got first class or maybe I got nothing and nothing in extra curicular activities to support me. So DIE.

2. Well. After some period maybe I get to know my brain already reach the limit and cannot go on more. I would study to keep myself upto at least Second Class but I'd join a lot of activities to strongly support my degree.

First Class (no or very few activities to support, and still not guarantee to get) or Second Class (more confident with lots activities to support) ... it's a hard choice.

For now I really want to try my best in sorting to both area. See how's my grade for first semester and then I'll tell you what I've chosen. Give some comment...

Very sleepy ... but need to update with you what's happening so far that kept me from reporting to you all

last weekend i went back to KL and even before i took the bus at Lavender to KL, my family called me through MSN and asked me don't eat so much ... they have cooked a lot waiting for me .. i was like ... huh ? Yahoo!! then by the time i reached my house at Friday night 11.00pm, walao .. it's PORRIDGE STEAMBOAT !!! got crabs, and anything u can find in a steamboat .. that's very good food for one month i stayed in Singapore ..

then it's a very busy weekend since i got limited with my family and old friends and ex-school ball. i did all these on the second day ... and came back to NTU on Sunday .. it was a terrible LONG queue at JB and WOODLANDS... terrible means horrifying ... what the .. i wonder how come so much people want to enter Singapore .. what the ...

then the next few days were boring n busy weekdays packed with assignments and lectures ..

this weekend .. i went for AIESEC Jump-Start Camp yesterday morning 6am and honestly I din sleep the night before ... so it was like a real challenge ... what the ... once i got the photos from AIESEC i will describe more .. for now I just wan to say that AIESEC is a international committee that many international students participate in it .. and i met 3 Europeans .. 2 from Switzerland and 1 from Germany and many many many Singaporeans and Vietnamese and Thais and Philliphines and Indonesians and Chinese and ... ... ... it's a very good JUMP-START to university life !! OMG .. yesterday funny things happened ... tell ya later once i got the photos !!!

ALL EVENTS HAPPENED ON 30/08/2006
1.30am - My room mate wanna go yam cha ... =.=" ... he planned to go alone but as room mate n friend .. of coursei teman teman ... until 2 something
3.30am - finally went to bed
7.00am - woke up ... prepared myself
8.30-10.30am - lectures ... after finished .. i went to library to print something .. and when i wanna reach formy wallet and pay ... SHIT!!!!!!!!!! NO WALLET IN MY BACK POCKET ... I RAC`H EVERYWHERE BUT COULDN'T FIND IT !!!!@#$@!%#^SHIT!!!!

I called my room mate straight away and hoping that i might leave it at room. He was like ... arh ? NO woh ... ... i asked again .. ... he said the same thing again .. then i was like ..WTF ... NO NO NO NO NO ...

First thing that i thought of that time was how am i going back to Malaysia without all those documents ... WTF ... how come such bad things happen ... then i quickly walked back to canteen and the lecture theatre that i went this morning ...

by the time i reach my row ... WHAT ? NO WALLET ... I WAS SKEPTICAL A LITTLE BIT .. i dunno what to do since there was another lecturer teaching there ... luckily i went one row behind and it was THERE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi, wanna post up the photos that I promised you all. In NTU we have MSA (Malaysian Student Association) where seniors from Malaysia will gather and take care of our welfare. This 5-day-camp really helped a lot. I know a lot of friends that I can just simply talk with or wave hands at whenever you see them. It makes your loneliness gone away while you are alone from home.

Day 1 - 24/07/06
For the first day from morning until late evening I had been engaged in admin stuff. Thanks to seniors who brought us around NTU campus and of course to Singapore city for the X-ray medical checkup at Orchard Road. During the night it was an ice-breaking time where I met my group member. Our group's name is Gracioul - something about taking account into your responsibility and consequences or whatever ... let's roll with pictures !!!

Day 2 - 25/07/06
Another busy day for admin, however I had done almost all of the admin stuff on Day 1 so basically after opening bank account, two seniors brought me took the free shuttle bus and go around the NTU campus ... so cool !! Same, at night we were brouhgt back to the MSA formal activities ... ...

Throwing water bomb at LOSERS!!! I also kena flour leh ... got into my ear some more =.="

Day 3 - 26/07/06
At the morning we had outdoor activities together with AMCISA people (Alliance of Malaysia Chinese Independence School Association) ... we had fun at the Sports Recreational Centre at NTU campus, later on, we got SP (Secret Partner) game where we got blinded and bring to our partner ... ... the seniors are just trying too desperate to bring more couples to NTU ... Then we went for PHOTO HUNT around the campus ... we just walked almost every corner of the campus ... my god ~~~ Late at night ... walao ... you cannot believe this ... just look at the pictures ..

Outdoor games ... they were looking for BIGGEST guy and i kena adi ...

And at the night the activity was ... ... ... "GHOST WALK" !!!!!!!!

Walao eh ... Can't imagine leh .. that night I was group together with another girl and we need to get through the walk TOGETHER ... haha ... AS A GUY of course I WOULD GO ON EVEN THOUGH IF I PEE ... hahaha ... imagine walking at your campus while everything is dark ... ... walao eh ... ... they did a very good job leh ... though I was not afriad at all ~~~~ lol ... got a little bit lah... oh ya .. found something funny and post it as well ...

Day 4 - 27/07/06
Day 4 was amazing because it's AMAZING RACE !!! We were given clues to solve and walked around Singapore city. That's simply amazing ! We went through nice places and played very nice game ... (remember the "Guess" game I mentioned where we played on Orchard Road?) Really good ... at night we were brought to Marina Bay for buffet dinner ... haha .. it's included in the camp fees... so nice ... hehe... and I wasted a lot of food ... i put back some food tim .. haha

Day 5 - 28/07/06
The last day we went to Sentosa Beach (artificial one ... where got real one lah .. charge you some more !!! 2 dollars per entry to the beach .. walao .. sweat leh) and we had our beach games the entire day there and lastly we returned to campus to make our perfomance ... and closing ceremony ... until 3 or 4am i forgot ... a very nice camp ...

haha ... i failed the second audition of choir ... ... hahaha ... told ya ... actually i knew it was a mess ... i caught a cold (which would be my total excuse) and couldn't even sing a note ...

- went to Business Plan Boot Camp (for competition) and the best thing was the free buffet breakfast n lunch other than the business workflow, i went together with Suet Leng ... scratching our head try to understand what the presenter trying to say ... at last we think we got 65% of what they were trying to imply ...
- borrow a book titled "Blue Ocean Strategy" ... what the hell .. shouldn't i borrow something related to my field ??
- wanna share a story with you titled "ALL THE GOOD THINGS" but I am lazy to type the story out now ... ... it will make my post looked long n dumb ... ... so maybe next time i'd just post it alone when i feel lazy to type extra things ...

Hi there ... ... oops ... gotta update to you what's happening around me ...

Kinda funny ... yesterday I attended two interview/audition ... first one is AIESEC which is a student body ... ... OMG ... they asked me to show them how to sell a chocolate with meat (duno why .. juz meat) to a vegetarian ... ... i was =.=" sweating ... haha ...

it turned out to be a very confident and quite smooth interview .. since i failed my QET i had been a lot more confident ... haha ... ... becoz last day i talked to a consultant and she asked me how could i fail the exam ... she said my English is ok for her ... haha ... ... got some condolences ... ... feeling a bit better ...

then on 9pm yesterday .. i went for choir audition ... haha .. juz for fun ... i din know what they would test .. they just asked us to prepare a song and tats all ... ... haha ... then when i got into the audition room ... there was a keyboard and the guy asked me to sing the keys high and low ... LA .. LAH ... LA ... ~~~~~~ ... haha .. it was really funny ... ... sometimes i felt like my high pitch and low pitch were just the same ... then i sang my chosen song "Standing In The Eyes Of The World" haha ... lousy song ... coz i got no more songs/ideas of what to sing ... just simply sing this out of memory ... you know lah ... Form 6 Unity Club mah ...

So guess what ? it's a very weird feeling after the audition .. i felt like I was William Hung walking out of the room being ignorant and innocent thinking that "I've just given my best and I have no request at all..." hahaha ... i passed the first round and the second round will be on tomorrow ... ... this time it will be a constructor to test ... haha ... OMG ... ... i'll just go for it ... ... for fun ...

busy life ... especially need to pick up my Physics again ... what the ... ... so long i don't care about the F=ma and the newton's law ... and now ... haih ... have a nice day !! TTFN ...

Well ... feeling weird for the title ? No worry, I'll explain it to you CLEARLY ... What's this number 52 means to you ? Yup, it's the number of weeks you have in a year. I'm gonna stay here for another 7 years (4 for my degree and 3 for my job bond) ... minus that with 3 weeks that I had spent here ... ...

So basically I still got another 361 weeks to go ...

Wanna know more from me ? Of course ... I'm gonna sum up what were happening so far in my life here at Singapore ... Sorry guys coz I din update my blog recently ... ... the main reason would be I don't have a laptop but I'm going to have one soon ... My father came here last Friday to sign the PC Loan... I'm quite excited to get my Toshiba Tecra later ... ... (please don't rob me... I'm taekwondo black belt 6th level and I don't want to hurt you!! haha .. juz kiddin') It's equipped with Fingerprint technology so that the one who rob me better cut my finger as well ... haha .. it's kinda high-end laptop ... people asking me why buying the one so expensive ... well ... it's interest-free loan ... why choose a cheap one when you can pay it later ??

So what happened these few days ? I am mentally weak now. Why ?

- I slept around 3 something this morning ... being pulled by my room mate, Jacky for supper ... walao eh ...
- I 'think' I had failed my Qualifying English Test ... and need to take up another extra English module ... WTF ...
- I cannot register for extra subjects ... gosh ... ...

Ok .. that pretty sums up the thing. About the QET ... it's an university entrance test where you will be tested on your English Language to see whether you need to take another module of English course or not ... The test consists of only one essay ... this year the titles are

i. If you could invent something new, what would it be and why ?
ii. Luck is the most essential element in life. How far do you agree with the statement ?

I went for the first one. Perhaps being too emotional and sentimental, I chose to take risk not to write some science fiction but to write some about my feelings ... I wrote that I wanna invent a time machine just too spend more quality time with my family ... The whole essay was about homesickness that brought me here for the first two weeks of my university life. So i guess it's not the cup of tea for the examiners... wtf... I don't know. From the seniors that failing in QET is quite normal but to me it's surely a big blow for me. A huge and large and enormous impact ... why ? To me, English equals to Maths. How much I have confidence in my Maths equals to what I've got for my English ... And now they are telling me that I'm gonna fail it ... wtf ... I was so called the "English Debater" for my school and "Best Subject Scorer in English" and now I failed my English Test ... haha ... what an ironical scene... going to be crazy liao ... ...

Never mind ... I'll take it as a chance to refresh my English skill ... and perhaps a passive revision for me to take my SAT I in October later ... ... crazy fellow ...

Other than that .. to me, university life is really a very different lifestyle compared to the last 20 years of my life. I tried hard to stuff myself with works so that I won't think about home and to be homesick again. OMG ... I bought the bus ticket for 1st September to back to KL ... ... I got some dinner at my old school but you can also say that I cannot tahan anymore ... ... haha ... In university, loneliness is the hardest part. So I know why is it everyone got a GF/BF during their studies ... perhaps they need a 'intermediate family member' to share their loneliness together ??

What else ? Since I got quite little credit hour to clear for this sem so I guess I owuld go for AIESEC, and some other auditions for my extra curicular activities just to keep my university life in balance. AIESEC is something like an international student body and they need some interviews before you can really become their member ... haha ... They got internship / exchange programmes but I guess I would try to learn much as a leader ... my leadership is too lousy ... Other than that .. I got auditions for emcee, choir, English debate (wah... you failed in English woh... =.=") and I think that's all... Later got some badminton session with my friends ... haha ... finally ...

7.20am - i woke up and start doing my chores ...
8.10am - finish my chores and ready to go
8.15am - it rains in the mid of my journey to the library
8.23am - reached the largest library in NTU - Lee Wee Nam Library, still closed, open on 0830
8.30am - doors opened but ... the printing services only starts on 9am
8.55am - i am typing now to spend my time, while waiting the printing services to be available...

i knew there will be very few visits to this page after today... since everyone is in their respective universities and having their orientation and new life.. i won't blame you all.. coz i would be off the line (internet) if i were going to Singapore later.. what to do ?? so boring..

now i'm preparing a time table and trying to fit to it.. preparing for engineering course will be a tough and challenging task since i din't take physics for 2 years after my SPM. I knew that I would need to work double, triple harder.. what to do ? Decision had been made, no turning back...

First passport in 20 years of my life.

Hah ! Holding the passport.. it's great !! Finally i a going to hold this booklet to further my studies in Singapore for 4 years !!! Gosh.. open it... aha.. i saw a handsome face... (haha.. jz kidding... pls allow a low-key n ugly guy to have soe pride) and my details.. 178cm.. haih .. i should put it 180.. look rounder mah... haihz... haha.. but hey... u wanna know what's happening before n after i tok my passport... *flashing back

my father called suddenly and said going to collect afternoon... so i called Tuan Haji Lokman as what the Tuan Shukri in Putrajaya told me to do so... ... and ok.. shorten the story and now i'm in Imigresen Damansara second time in my life.. but i almost knew the corners quite well... coz i need to walk around to find the TUAN.. hmm.. before he asked me to wait at the PEKERJA ASING counters... i went to collect my passport.. WAO !! GUESS WHAT ?! NO PEOPLE WAS WAITING THERE !! It just a very fast 10 minutes before i had my lunch outside...

then i went to look for TUAN at PEKERJA ASING COUNTERS ... haha... second time see so many different colour passport together... (first time during my SAT II exam.. i got mention.. my loyal reader you won't wan to forget my first experience rite?) Myanmar.. (tis guy holding LONG-EXPIRED passport and the receptionist's eyes grown BIG n HUGE when she read out the expiry date.. the situation was so funny)

then i was called and entered the TUAN's room and i explained.. blek.. he agreed but he said the procedure were more complicated now since the money had banked into government account.. Damn it.. but he promised I can get it back.. just some more procedures and of course .. TIME !! Well i aledi expect to get my RM150 for my next school holiday to spend ... in December... haha... but still ok coz learnt to complain mah... some more Imigresen .. haha.. dun afraid they restrict my passport later.. haha

so tats more or less the 'interesting' part of my day..

This afternoon suddenly got a telephone call.. when the voice sounds low-key (*should i say MAN???) and speaking Malay, aha... I've been expected for his call.. wow.. he's the HEAD of Bilik Gerakan and call me to explain the refund of RM150 to me... well.. so far what i heard from him i could connect to the possibility of getting the refund is still there... Hmm.. good service !! And he's the one that was so keen on speaking English to me... haha... (maybe when he heard i was a bit KEK KEK when speaking in Malay) ... i wanna give good evaluation... but not yet... i wanna wait for the money first... afraid later the higher the expectation... the greater the disappointment... I'll evaluate them after I'm going to take my passport later...

USM - KEJURUTERAAN ELEKTRONIK means Electronic Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia located at Sebrang Perai, Penang... weird ... first time government release results and i got no feeling.. dun know leh... everytime when they released PMR, SPM, STPM results my heart's pumping... the adrenaline keeps the heart accelerated each time trying to check the results..

this time.. no sign of warning... no news on paper i read in the morning... i just suddenly got a MSN message said that the results can already be checked through SMS and website... i went and i typed and i looked... nothing surprise...

Getting first or second choice was already expected... i knew that this year the extra curicular activities marks would be counted and my "EXCELLENCY" can be shown.. haha.. but ... never mind.. i won't regret... i am just asking... what if i put higher competitive courses such as medicine.. pharmacy.. biomedic engineering... well.. haha... no one knows what will happen right ?? yup.. life is just like that... you won't know what would be different for a tiny choice that you made in the past... haha.. perhaps i'll be more excited when the results of SAT II Subject Test being released on 26th June later... haha.. maybe it's becoz it's one of my hope to get into USA prestige universities... haha.. perhaps now i got wider horizon.. sees things more objective ... who knows ??

so.. where am i going ?? nah.. i've said... LIFE IS SIMPLE... YOU MAKE A DECISION AND YOU DON'T LOOK BACK. i made my passport last week... i paid the accommodation application fees this morning... no looking back... hahahaha GOOD LUCK GUYS !!

nothing much happen... reading books and start to read some examples for SAT I. ... dude.. it is hard.. damn it... i do not know how i am going to prepare for it... read those comprehension materials... damn it.. i couldn't even understand what is it trying to imply to the readers.. i mean.. what the ... the writers are just trying to write the messages out and tell it to the readers right ? Then why the hell on this Earth they write it so difficult to be understood??

Nah.. away from the books... my parents going back to hometown to attend a funeral.. my aunty.. hmm.. should say she's my father's sister, she had passed away... it was unbelievable.. so shock i heard this news... well i never predict this since i just saw her when i went to Langkawi and stopped by at my hometown to see her end of May.. so unpredictable... she's one of the nice person though I din talk to her much but she was so kind... one of the long relatives that I would see her every year.. now the greatest fear is begun.. i wonder how is the next Chinese New Year going to be in my hometown.. although it's a big celebration with more than 30++ relatives will gather together.. but without any ONE of them is already enough to make us feel sorrow... and sorry...

It was Friday after i went to Imigresen department.. then when i was typing in front of this pc.. my mum just came in and said... "你二姑死了" In a split second i really couldn't react... ... I wonder.. isn't she still there ? How about my cousins ??

I skipped blogging... tight schedule... yesterday night watched Fast and Furious... ya know lah.. you must not expect nice storyline but excellent and professional drifting skills from the drivers... I would like to quote..

"Life is simple. You make decision and you don't look back."

So I made a decision. In fact I made a lot of decisions... i used to look back but now I won't ! Going to Singapore is my decision and I will also try to look for other option to go further overseas... never look back and regret about it... so this morning something annoying happened when I tried to apply for my passport..

this morning went to Jabatan Imigresen Damansara to apply for my passport... guess what happen ? I tried to apply for half-priced passport which is RM150... all my seniors asked us to do like this.. so I tried to apply for it..

but i got rejected... the officer said that my document was not enough to prove i was going to study in overseas.. what the... then he asked me whether i could show any financial prove that I've paid to the university... i tried to explain but he just too stuborn to listen to what i said... i said the university will only charge the students their tuition fees when we are studying there in August.. how can I pay the money NOW in June?? How am I going to settle a bill that is only going to be issued on August ?

I was quite upset.. and i need to pay RM300 for my passport instead of RM150.. after I got home.. I went straight to write letters to file a complain .. I phoned the headquarter and luckily i got friendly reply... i faxed my complain... hopefully will get my refund soon... ...

So ?? I'm going to Singapore ... ... this is more or less the summary of this article.. i also included the complain letter i faxed.. so syok that so long i din argue with somebody adi... now in Imigresen finally i got the chance.. but with the price of extra RM150... Wish me luck to get back my RM150!!

oops.. is the only conclusion for the KUOK interview this afternoon...

"Don't be nervous !! Don't be nervous !!" I kept telling myself all this morning but I still did. For the starting few minutes, I was too nervous until I stopped in the middle while I describe about my course to the interviewers. Oh gosh...

I'd give myself 4 out of 10... ... just disastrous performance... I don't think I impressed the interviewers. Haih... anyway, I would be need to wait and pray hard for it. The result is to be released way too late and I'd probably be in Singapore already by the time they approved my application. Well... I would still be confident in it.. I need to be confident of what I had talked to them !! Yes.. I'm winning !! Hahaha... *gone crazy...

So.. life goes on huh... poor Croatia i prayed so hard that you would draw in the Brazil match but that ******* just couldn't be stopped !! Any team in World Cup please kick them out !! Boring to see them in WC...

OK.. so someone quite confused with my choices of universities since I applied many of them and looked too greedy to be enrolled into all of them.. lol

I'm going to Nanyang Technological University 南洋理工大学 in Singapore in mid-July. To study Materials Engineering, (mostly, but i'd try for a change maybe) and further my excellency there... haha Why? Just because I wanted to grab a chance to go overseas and widen my horizon. Don't want to be kept in the cage for so long. And looking for chances to be successful ANYWHERE... Honestly for now, I don't have any intention to take up Singaporean Citizenship so please DO NOT THINK I AM BETRAYING MY OWN COUNTRY. Singapore ain't better anyway...

In the meantime I would still sit for the SAT I : Reasoning Test in Singapore and perhaps some other subject tests (again) if I screwed up my last SAT II test in 3rd June. Why ? This is a compulsory exam for us to be eligible to apply for USA universities. For your info, I intend to apply for Harvard, MIT, Yale and Princeton. I know. You would start laughing and rolling on the floor and wondering how could I day-dreaming to enter those... Well.. I can tell you that I'm just GAMBLING here and putting a bet. Who knows I could strike a jackpot?! Just a bet... ... just a bet... I'm prepared to be disqualified anyway but I knew I am 2 certs more prepared than other undergraduates... ...

Now.. talk about nervous ! I am going to attend my first ever interview in my life tomorrow. Haha... just trying to be relax... Hope won't throwing all those choking + smothering questions to me... Haih... anyway this is just a loan. Hope that I can receive the part-loan part-grant fund... Wish me luck!

hey.. i missed blogging for Monday... haha..

yesterday i just went out together with Wai Jin n Hong Fai to MACEE for the third time.. guess we are too ambitious or are we just stupid ?? haha.. studying and looking for reference for the SAT Reasoning Test..

Anyway.. at this time it is the first half break for Italy vs. Ghana World Cup.. (for you guys don't watch World CUP, this year they are having it in Germany so I have to stay up all the night to see it LIVE!)

What a good fight putting up frmo Ghana and Italy. Both team possess quality to hold the cup but guess Italy had missed a lot of chances to score their goals.. now it's 1-0 just a point lead to Ghana... Italy GOAL ! GO GO GO !!

The other reason i stay up all the night is I gotta prepare for an interview tomorrow.. gosh... it's my first ever interview... hope i din ruin it..

wow ... it's a blow !

3 quite good things to share.. first.. i went to the NTU seniors meeting to get my freshmen guide. Haha .. I knew a few new guys but I din get their names ... oops... The seniors are quite helpful and ok to talk with, and finally i manage to have a clear look on the campus through the guide. Hmm.. better to apply for my passport next week ..

Then, TA-LAH ! Finally I finished watching LOST Season 2... hey .. tell you a secret.. i had a cameo show-up on this tv-show !! Ah.. prank!! Juz kiddin' anyway, my main purpose is to tell you it's the BEST EVER tv show on Earth, telling you the synopsis later when I'm free enough.. in this very second season .. my god, so many things revealed (especially in the few last episodes!!) and what the heck.. i was like watching no-ending ending finale for two hours .. and suddenly .. "What?! You are done?!!" Well.. cross my fingers for the third season but sadly... can't use BT in NTU campus... finding other way... lol

Third.. GOD HAS JUST SAVED THE QUEEN'S LAND !! With some luck, England manage to get an own goal from Paraguay's own heading... haha... ... anyway.. i think England has no luck (neither do Paraguay) so i think if with no own-heading-goal from Paraguay's player, Beckham would not score it ! Haha ...

Well... that's quite ALL for today.. Kok Keong looked for me just now and got his certs back finally. I am not complaining but I was just afraid that I would lost his certs in the sea of paper rubbish covered all over my room. Guess have to settle it before I leave...

Education 伯乐与千里马

Thanks to Hong Fai and John, thanks to friends that fight along. Tonite through a series of conversations, it helps me to have a deeper look on our education. It reminds my sad story...

Most people will come and ask me Maths questions, hmm.. maybe they think I am quite ok dealing with numbers. Well, you might say I am proud but I do admit that I am good dealing with numbers since I was little. Dunno why.. I feel it's comfortable facing with the numbers, and the operations plus, minus, times, and divide among themselves... i was always try to get 100 marks on maths paper, if not, even though it's merely a few points, i would be upset, very upset.

I remember... I was the first one in my class to know about PRODUCTS (what times what equals to...) it's school asembly time and each time the teacher on duty will give out several questions to be tested in every class, she mentioned that this PRODUCT question is for YEAR 3 only ... (i was in YEAR 2) ... What is the answer for 10's 10 ? By using fingers (becoz i just learnt it from my aunty) i just simply yelled, "100!" Everyone was looking at me... ... the teacher smiled at me. Maybe i was still little, I did not aware of my talent.

I din even know when my name was called to receive the second prize for Mathematics Competition (I din even know the simple Maths quiz i did the week before was a competition) during Year 1 assembly. Year 2 i advanced and got GOLD PRIZE. Other than Year 4 which I was sick and absent for the competition. I got prizes each year from Year 1 til Year 6.

But I was not giving the chance the represent the school. Not once.

I was a kid and probably I din care. Or probably I didn't know how to care for it. I still remember the Maths competition questions in Year 6 were tougher. Since they covered some topics which were never taught in our syllabus - ANGLES. But I still manage to make a guess because my Mathematical Logic sense is there ... I know which angles should be same with which angles by having a look and follows the logic manner... i got consolation prize that year. I felt lucky, but no longer when I sees the son of the school principal was getting second prize. How could it be ? A talent may not be risen in just a night !!

Forgotten what reason I got a chance to have a try some questions from Maths Society which people got represent the school. I saw angles questions ... i saw many questions which were quite similar to the competition... ... i felt cheated... maybe as a kid, i din care so much or i din know how to care... this matter fell into the deepest place it could be and no more being told to anyone...

Days after days ... years after years .. all I had done was to be a good boy studying books, following syllabus that made by our ministry. I am still good at Maths especially in those numerical analysis, but so far the syllabus teaches. So far the syllabus goes, that's why I've gone. I didn't get any chance to meet any professors or have any relative who graduated from university that would be able to teach me and discover my talents. Now, I believe I am just 'good' in Maths. No more talented.

There's an old proverb in Chinese. A good horse that runs miles need a good rider to know its value and fully uses its value. Without the good rider, it's useless to have a good horse. 各位千里马, 你找到你的伯乐吗?

SAT® II : SUBJECT TEST

Last Saturday, June 3rd, is a day I will never forget. I took the SAT Subject Test which is a standardised test requirement for any US university admission.

This is a test administered by College Board which I think I had no good impression on them so far. My admission ticket which was supposed to be arrived days before the exam started, seemed lost in the way of postage. However, luckily I was still manage to take the test. When I entered the room with my friends, it's like ALL OTHERS were using passport as their ID, and heard a lot of different languages murmured around the room. Like United Nations...

This was something funny. One thing you gotta know about this test is that you can only take up to maximum 3 subjects ONLY and they would give you ALL SUBJECT PAPERS together at one time. But at a time you were allowed to do one subject and were not allowed to look at other section. Honestly, you would have no time to look at other questions. Please, 85 Chemistry questions, 50 Maths Level 2 questions, 80 Biology-Molecular questions with each subject one hour. I bet you won't even have the time to peek at others to see their answers.

I did the Chemistry first which I thought would be the headache for me since I did not revise for it. But it turned out to be quite easy. Unfortunately for my next Bio, I felt like all my revision was useless ... ... lastly the Maths I think would be no problem to gain a high score.

This is a first step for me. I would definitely sitting for SAT Reasoning Test (or ACT, but i won't talk about this) which will be another nightmare for me to memorize 2000+ vocabularies. (Which is what I heard from other SAT students) Oh gosh... ... the results for SAT II will be available on 26th June... hmm.. wonder whether I will still have to mood to check the results (especially after the release of the results of admission to local university).. anyway.. hope everyone work hard and good luck !
